The M5-MUX8 multiplexer device is designed to a replace a legacy Casi M Series 8RP to a single communications port that supports up to eight (8) external, two wire, RS-485 based channels.

As with all Mercury M5 controllers, this device provides all the functionality of the legacy Casi controller plus the addition of the Authentic Mercury MR50 controller capabilities. These robust features allow F/2F readers or Wiegand Interface Units (WIU) to be replaced with up to eight (8) MR50 reader interface boards. Replacement is simple and the device is ideal to meet difficult system design and installation challenges.
