Distribution Lists

Distribution Lists are collections of contacts. They provide a wide array of option for quickly selecting people by System, Facility, Permission and more. This helps tailor list to reach only the intended audience. For example, if you frequently send messages to the maintenance team, you can create a distribution list, called "Maintenance Team" that contains the contact information of everyone on that team.

Distribution List Definitions

NameDescription
NameThe name given to the Distribution List.
OwnerThis field indicated who can see and use the Distribution List.
IndividualsThis shows how many individual People are part of the Distribution List. Only People that are in BluSKY are counted here, any contacts that have been added via Ad Hoc will not be counted.
RolesThis shows how many Roles are associated with the Distribution List.
AdHocsThis field indicated how many people that are not in BluSKY are part of the Distribution List.
SystemsThis field displays how many Systems are part of the Distribution List.
System GroupsThis field displays the total number of System Groups assigned to the Distribution List.
LocationsThis feature is coming soon.
PermissionsThis field indicated how many Permissions are assigned to the Distribution List.
DeletedIf checked, entry is deleted from BluSKY.
Date InsertedThe date this entry was added to BluSky.
Inserted ByThe name of the login who created this entry in BluSKY.
Date UpdatedThe date this entry was last updated.
Updated ByWho make the last update to this entry.
Date DeletedThe date this entry was disabled or deleted from BluSky.
Deleted ByName of person who disabled this entry.

Distribution List Setup Actions

Search Criteria

NameDescription
SystemName of the access control system.
Search TextThis field is used to limit the number of rows listed in the list box below. To use simply type a string of characters or words. Please note you will only see those items you have the permission and access rights for. It is a good idea to search first, even when you are creating a new entry.
ViewView will bring you to the view screen. Use this to look up information on existing entities and access Audit Info(2). This page also has a link to Edit
SubmitStarts search based on the criteria selected in the two prior steps.
ResetClears all fields in order to start a new search.
