  • Local Server Overview : All BluB0X locally installed software is automatically updated and managed by BluSKY. All 3rd Party applications (e.g. Milestone XProtect) are installed and updated per the 3rd Party manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Locally Installed Software and Function : All locally installed software is installed as a service. *Only the Local Server Manager Service needs to be installed on the Local Server. It automatically calls up to BluSKY, determines what additional software is needed, pulls it down from BluSKY and installs it. The only exception is 3rd Party software applications like Milestone XProtect.
  • Local Servers and Software : Local Servers and Software
  • Local Server List & Configuration : The first step in the Local Server configuration process is to define the Local Server in the BluSKY database as shown on the left below. Once the Local Server is defined in BluSKY it can be configured by installing the Local Server Management Service on the server and assigning a Local Server Role as shown on the right below. If the server is connected to the internet it will automatically download and install the proper software.
  • Local Server Roles : One or more Local Server Roles are assigned to Local Servers during the system configuration process. Examples of Local Server Roles are: 1. KONE Destination System Server and 2. LSP Monitor and Control Server. Local Server Roles define all applications and databases required by the local server to run the software including Tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Schema.
  • Server Diagnostics : Any windows based device that installs the Server Manager Service can be monitored and managed remotely using BluSKY Server Diagnostics.
