Overview

An IPS Point is an Input that is configured to work with the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). IPS Points can be motion sensors, door position sensor or any Input used for the IPS.  This article is a reference article to help define the fields regarding IPS Points.

List Definitions

NameDescription
NameThe name given to the IPS Point
Include ChimeWhen enabled this will cause an audible noise when a point is tripped or disarmed
DeletedIf checked, entry is deleted from BluSKY.
IPS GroupThe IPS Group the IPS Point is part of
InputThe numbered Input where it is connected to the SIO Board or Controller
Mercury IPS Point Zone TypeClassifications given to the IPS Point that influence the behavior
Mercury IPS Point Monitor Mode
Mercury IPS Point Entry Delay ModeThis is the amount of time in seconds, before an IPS Point starts an alarm event
SIA Point Type
SIA Zone Number
Date InsertedThe date this entry was added to BluSky.
Inserted ByThe name of the login who created this entry in BluSKY.
Date UpdatedThe date this entry was last updated.
Updated ByWho make the last update to this entry.
Date DeletedThe date this entry was disabled or deleted from BluSky.
Deleted ByName of person who disabled this entry.

Search Criteria

NameDescription
AC SystemName of the access control system.
ControllerThe controller that the IPS Point is connected to
Search TextThis field is used to limit the number of rows listed in the list box below. To use simply type a string of characters or words. Please note you will only see those items you have the permission and access rights for. It is a good idea to search first, even when you are creating a new entry.
ViewView will bring you to the view screen. Use this to look up information on existing entities and access Audit Info.
SubmitThis button performs a search based on the criteria selected in the filter.
ResetThis button clears all fields in order to start a new search.
