Power up check list

Overview

After a building power down, follow these steps to ensure the security system is fully operational.

  1. Verify System Functionality:
  • Do not leave the building without confirming with the building management that the system is up and running.
  1. Controller Check:
  • Use the controller floor diagnostic to see if all controllers are online.
  • Select each controller individually and click "Controller Info" to verify their status.
  • Ensure no controllers are down by unchecking "Show Only Online Controllers".
  1. Full System Check:
  • Contact BluCare to obtain a full list of online and used controllers.
  • Perform a simulated swipe; if successful, try a normal swipe.
  1. Problem Resolution:
  • Address any issues discovered. If unsure how to investigate, call the support line:
  • Regular support line or emergency line based on the time.
  • Emergency line (available 24/7): 1-844-425-8209, Option 6.
  1. Starting Points:
  • Verify all Access Controllers are powered up and online in BluB0X.
  • Check if credential reads are displayed in Events and Events History for every controller.
  • Ensure NVRs are powered up and communicating with BluSKY; contact BluCare for a list of online/offline cameras.
  • Verify all cameras are online (get a list of cameras online/offline before powering down).
  • Confirm alarms are working.
  • Ensure Interactive Maps are functioning.
  • Verify all person readers are communicating with BluSKY.
  • Check if PR facial recognition and physical credentials are working; if not, call support.
  • Confirm intercoms are working and calling the master station.
  • Ensure power controllers are online and showing M8 data.
  • Verify DDE primary and secondary are online and local sync is running.
  • Ensure elevator requests are operational.
